Job Title: Bar Staff (Part-Time)

Venue: Bank de León
Location: Wolverhampton City Centre
Reports to: Bar Manager / Duty Manager

Role Overview:
As Bar Staff at Bank de León, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality drinks and exceptional customer service in a vibrant, Caribbean-inspired bar environment. You will help create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere while maintaining professional standards of service, presentation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Guest Experience:
  • Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere.
  • Take orders accurately and serve drinks promptly.
  • Engage with guests and build positive relationships.
  • Handle customer queries or complaints professionally.
Drinks Preparation & Service:
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards for consistency.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the drinks menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Upsell drinks, specials, and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
Bar Operations:
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware, garnishes, and ingredients.
  • Restock shelves and refrigerators as needed.
  • Keep the bar clean, organised, and ready for service.
  • Operate the till, handle cash and card payments, and provide accurate change.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Adhere to licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.
  • Check identification for age verification when required.
  • Monitor customer intoxication levels and act appropriately.
Teamwork & Communication:
  • Work closely with bar staff, floor staff, and management.
  • Support colleagues during busy periods.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible (evenings and weekends required).
Desirable:
  • Previous bar or hospitality experience.
  • Cocktail-making knowledge or willingness to learn.
  • Interest in drinks, music, and Caribbean culture.
