Role Overview:
As Bar Staff at Bank de León, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality drinks and exceptional customer service in a vibrant, Caribbean-inspired bar environment. You will help create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere while maintaining professional standards of service, presentation, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Guest Experience:
- Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere.
- Take orders accurately and serve drinks promptly.
- Engage with guests and build positive relationships.
- Handle customer queries or complaints professionally.
Drinks Preparation & Service:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards for consistency.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the drinks menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Upsell drinks, specials, and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
Bar Operations:
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware, garnishes, and ingredients.
- Restock shelves and refrigerators as needed.
- Keep the bar clean, organised, and ready for service.
- Operate the till, handle cash and card payments, and provide accurate change.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Adhere to licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.
- Check identification for age verification when required.
- Monitor customer intoxication levels and act appropriately.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Work closely with bar staff, floor staff, and management.
- Support colleagues during busy periods.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible (evenings and weekends required).
Desirable:
- Previous bar or hospitality experience.
