Door Supervisor – West Bromwich

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence at the venue.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points.
• Check identification and ensure venue entry policies are followed.
• Monitor customer behaviour and manage situations before they escalate.
• Deal calmly and professionally with incidents, disputes and difficult situations.
• Support venue management and staff with security-related matters.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
• Carry out regular checks of the venue and surrounding areas where required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow venue procedures.
• Complete incident reports and provide clear information when required.
• Work effectively as part of a wider security and venue team.
• Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with SIA requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Previous Door Supervisor or security experience is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, confident and approachable manner.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and event shifts.
• Good awareness of personal safety, customer safety and venue security.

Desirable

• Previous experience working in pubs, bars, clubs, nightlife or events.
• Additional relevant security qualifications.
• Experience dealing with large crowds or busy licensed venues.
• Basic computer skills for incident reporting and administrative duties.
• Own transport is desirable but not essential, depending on the location and shift.
